Q: What are the garbage and recycling schedules?
A: The schedules are mailed to each home and are posted on our website. If you have not received one, you may call the DPW office or view the schedule here. Please note that beginning May 1, 2015 bottles and cans can no longer be put out in plastic bags, they will not be picked up. Please use open garbage containers.


Q: Is alternate side of the street parking in effect?
A:Yes, alternate side of the street parking is in effect at all times whether or not the street sweeper is working unless notification is made by the Police Department via the Nixel System.


Q: What are some of the other services the DPW provides?
A: Maintenance of streets & roads, sign installation & repair, tree service, pick-ups, sewers, storm drains, maintenance of parks & grounds, sanitation, recycling, street sweeping, curbs & sidewalks, fleet maintenance, snow removal, traffic lights, storm water compliance, holiday decorations, etc.


Q: How can I dispose of old tires, hazardous waste, electronics, and papers I need shredded?
A. Bergen County offers various events throughout the year so that residents can go to specific locations.

Borough Offers Shredding Event

The Borough of Lodi, in conjunction with the Bergen County Utilities Authority and Nexcut, Inc will be hosting a Shredding Event on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Kennedy Drive Firehouse

At no cost, Borough residents may bring any unwanted paper to our on-site shredding truck for proper disposal and recycling.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (rain or shine), Tire Recycling Collections, Electronic and Computer Collections, and Mobile Paper Shredding Collections are available at two convenient locations on the following dates:

2015 Recycling Schedule

The Borough of Lodi Recycling Schedule for 2015 is now available. All recycling and garbage must be placed curbside after 6 p.m. the night before your pick up, regardless of weather. All garbage must be placed in garbage cans or heavy duty plastic bags only.

*Please Note - There will be a Special Recycling Pick Up of paper/cardboard only on December 31, 2014.*
